As a writer and illustrator, I focus on creative writing that inspires young readers to engage in reading for pleasure. I also enjoy participating in school visits to encourage a love for storytelling.

Creator of 2 awesome children's adventure stories that inspire creative writing and encourage reading for pleasure during school visits.

I have been a guest on over 40 radio stations, including BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Shropshire, and BBC Radio Manchester, where I often discuss the importance of creative writing and encourage reading for pleasure during my school visits.

Hello, and thank you so much for visiting my author page. I really appreciate you 😊 My name is Simon Adepetun, a children's author, storyteller, and creative writer. I hold a BA (Hons) in English, specializing in creative writing, and a PG cert in Theatre Studies. As a former teacher, I am passionate about promoting reading for pleasure in primary schools and fostering creative writing in secondary schools across the country. I believe that by encouraging reading for pleasure, I can also inspire students to engage in creative writing and vice versa. I have taken my sessions to a Premier League winning football club’s academy and several schools nationwide, inspiring thousands of students to read and write creatively. As a strong advocate for reading for pleasure and creative writing, I have shared my insights on various BBC Radio stations as a guest. Currently, I serve as a Patron of Reading in three primary schools. I combine my effective communication skills, honed during my years as a teacher, with my knowledge from my degrees in creative writing and theatre studies to perfect my techniques. Together, we will explore how the power of our imagination can help us craft the finest stories.

Engaging in creative writing can enhance one's skills and foster a love for reading for pleasure. During school visits, authors often share their experiences, inspiring students to explore their own creative potential.
